EBC Part Two

I have finished the body and did a regular bind off, plus seamed the hood...Im not happy with the seam so I think I will rip it out and start over :( I cant decide if I should do the normal long sleeves, or since this is a late July baby, just do short....hummmm decisions, decisions.

Newest project...Easy Baby Cardigan

I am so excited about this project!  A few of my friends are having babies this summer and I wanted to try a baby sweater, so what better time!  I'm working on Diane Soucys Easy Baby Cardigan and it really is pretty simple!  I'm doing a newborn size in plain ol white because nobody knows the sex of their new baby, and my plan is to make gender specific ones after they arrive in a bigger size.  My cardigan can be found here.

Since I am a very visual learner I take a lot of pictures at different stages, it helps me when I can see what it should look like, and there aren't a lot of people who post like that. 
The first part of the sweater is the hood, and after reading other projects and thinking it over, I wish I had done a provisional cast on, I think it will make seaming the hood much easier....anyway, I didn't take a picture of that part (sorry) but its basically just a square anyway..

This is after all the increases are finished and I'm ready to separate for the sleeves..

About me

I am Amanda, I am married and have three kids, I live in rural Upstate New York.  I have found a new passion for knitting.  When I was a young girl a friends mom showed me the very basics of how to knit.  I never really did anything with it except make a simple scarf here and there, mostly with Fun Fur so you couldnt see my mistakes.  In January 2011 I picked up my needles again and started knitting basic things.  This ignited something within me, a mental stimulation I had been missing.  I am still learning as I go and I enjoy the challenge of trying something new and seeing what my interpretation of the pattern ends up looking like.  Since I live in no man's land, I dont have access to a LYS, in fact I dont believe Ive ever been in one :(  So I am stuck with what yarn I can get my hands on and I havent braved ordering online (not sure why).  I am on Ravelry, and you can find me as AmandaLL.  I spend a lot of time looking at other peoples work and deciding if it is something I am able to do.  I recently surprised myself by starting and completing Abalone and also Pedicure Socks that were a bit more of a challenge. 

I will try to post most of my knitting malarchy on this blog to save my poor family from having to listen to me.  Let this be a warning....sometimes Im a really good blogger and sometimes I down right suck.
