Holy Scarves!

The frilly scarves that I had made turned out to be a huge hit!  People kept asking me to sell them, so I started making them and selling them to people.  YIKES!  I've made about 20 or so scarves.  Just when I think things are dying down, someone else asks me to make them one, or four!  I've never sold anything I have made, so that makes me a bit uncomfortable, but I couldn't just give them away either.  I donated a beautiful purple one to Relay for Life and it ended up selling for $24. Here are a few of them

I'm getting anxious to move onto something different.  I have been looking at adorable head bands, and NO, I wont be selling them :)  I like this one a lot!

Frilly Scarves

I haven't been doing a ton of knitting lately, but I think the bug has bit me again.  I started a baby sweater that needs sleeves, and then made Alison a Potato Chip Scarf for winter.

I also picked up some Starbella Yarn from Premier Yarns on a whim.  When I first started using it, I HATED it.  It was tough to get the hang of, but then I was on a roll.  I finished the Ruffled Options Scarf in a few hours and I am really happy with it.
I actually started another one in pinks.  I think these will make great Christmas gifts!

Quick update

School is kicking my ass.  My free time is pretty much nonexistent.  During February break I was able to make a preemie hat for a family member other than that I haven't finished anything :(  The mama said her head was about the size of an orange, so that's what I went with..

Slacking..but made a cowl :)

I haven't been doing a whole lot of knitting lately, it feels like all of my free time is consumed by studying and it makes me slightly grouchy.  I did make a market bag over the summer and am about half way finished with the second one, but I got bored and moved on to something more useful since the weather has started getting cold. This is my Gap-ish-Tastic Cowl  I like it!  I think I might try to crank out another one for a Christmas Gift.. I am not in love with the sparkle yarn I added into it, but it still will work.

Its been quite some time

I havent even thought about knitting all summer long, but on Saturday I went to the local farmers market with my bff.   She pulled out a market bag that she had bought the weekend before, I took a peek and decided I would make one....or two.  Im almost finished with the first one.  I found a pattern on Ravelry called Grrlfriend Market Bag and I really like it!!  Pictures to come

I have finished the body and did a regular bind off, plus seamed the hood...Im not happy with the seam so I think I will rip it out and start over :( I cant decide if I should do the normal long sleeves, or since this is a late July baby, just do short....hummmm decisions, decisions.
